Serenity Spring, located in Wauseon, Ohio, is a sober recovery housing for adult women in Fulton, Henry, Defiance, and Williams Counties. We offer a secure, supportive environment to help women transition from inpatient treatment and outpatient services.
Serenity Spring welcomes adult women (18+) with a moderate to severe substance use disorder diagnosis. Residents must complete an initial 60-day recovery plan, participate in sober support meetings, and follow all treatment recommendations. A lease agreement is required, with rent determined on a sliding fee scale based on income.

Women aged 18 and over with a moderate to severe substance use disorder diagnosis residing in the 4-county area (Defiance, Fulton, Hernry, Williams Counties).
All residents wil be required to sign a lease agreement with the cost of $753 per month on a very reasonable sliding fee scale. Rent is paid weekly.
Yes. In addition to a substance use disorder diagnosis, women frequently do have a co-occurring mental health diagnosis as well.
The home is only able to accommodate a small crib for a young infant in certain rooms. Children are welcome to visit but cannot stay overnight.
Individual need is the driving factor for length of stay. Everyone is different and can self-determine when they are ready to transition out of the home.
The house is staffed as frequently as possible. Staff may not be in the home at all times but are available by phone 24/7.
Tobacco use is allowed in designated areas outside of the home.
Yes. A valid driver’s license and insurance is required.
Transportation is available, and we work with community-oriented resources to meet the needs of our residents. If a resident is in treatment with us, transportation can also be arranged through our case management services. Additionally, the Four County ADAMhs board offers transportation services that can be coordinated as needed.
Yes. Women must request to have a visitor 48 hours in advance and visitor must be approved. Visiting hours are 8am-8pm with a 3-hour limit.
Residents are free to choose their own provider, but we require them to follow the treatment recommendations given. Since each resident may be in a different phase of treatment, we adhere to the specific guidelines set by the provider.
Yes. Residents are restricted to travel in the first two weeks of residency without a more senior resident of the house and/or sober supports as well as staff. Residents are required to sign-in and out for safety reasons and need to return to the house before 10pm on weekdays and 11pm on weekends. Residents that have lived in the house for 2 weeks and 60 days in sobriety may request overnight passes, restricted to 2 per month.
Yes. Sublocade is the only acceptable opioid agonist allowed in the home. Medications are the responsibility of residents and will be provided a locked box in their room for safely storing their medications and personal belongings.
Women will provide their own food and meal preparations.
